I am trying to help some people with their server. The server freezes up after about 30 minutes and you have to reboot. It is running Windows Server 2003.

I noticed that their Norton Antivirus seemed to not be updated (definitions), so I ran the updates and scanned. It found a trojan and two viruses, and quaratined them (supposedly). I also noticed their Super Antispyware was running definitions from 03/09, so I updated those as well and ran a scan. Found many threats, and quaratined again. System frooze. Rebooted. Again the Norton and SAS were back to the old definitions. I would again run updates, after reboot back to old definitions each time.

I have also noticed that it appears to have some Google redirect virus, and when I would try to search for answers it would send me to false websites. I am wondering if the freezing up is due to bad RAM?? And that is causing the software updates not to be retained as well??? Or do you think it is all malicious code related??

Thanks for any and all advice...
