I used to use Netscape Communicator for email, which came with a little handy utility NSNOTIFY, which would sit around in your taskbar and check for new email in the background and would start waving a flag if you got a new message. Double-clicking on the tasbar icon would open up your messenger. Now that I no longer use Communicator, I was wondering if there were other utilities that mimicked its functionality without using Netscape itself.

Puritan,

It's free to use once a week to check on email.
You type in the user name and password for the email accout you want. Like for you ISP you would type in the same user name and password. It will check your ISP to see if it you.

But for only $10.00 a year you get webbox.
