i have been experiencing problems (yet agian) with my computer, it has been going slow, plus there might be something wrong with my video card, i dont know, maybe its the driver, because theres glitches when i connect the dual screen dvi adapter, and when i disconnect it, the glitches are still there, i'll make another topic in hardware if you like...

but anyways, i would like someone to look over my Hijackthis log, and tell me if there is anything wrong... and could my computer be going slow because it is 6 years old and is used for 9 to 12 hours a day?

nothing really shy of some of the O16's jump out, but I would wait for an expert to parse it, as I ain't one.

How much ram do you have in the machine? I've got a 98 box that is, well, as old as the OS, and it still toodles along fine. Unless you are really loading the machine down as you are working, it should be moseying along fine. You say 9-12 hours/day, but doing what? My machine is used for about that, but most of it is with my wife, who is just bopping around on teh internet.

when has it been going slow? Regular internet surfing, or while processor heavy stuff, such as the 3d rendering? That's a load for any machine. What processor do you have?

well, when i try to view a PDF, it takes forever to load, and it lags a bit..

oh and when i reinstalled my video card driver, ati catalyst, it would make the computer go even slower, so i had to reinstall it agian, with out the catalyst control center, because of the lagging and it wouldnt let me access it. oops off topic.

it goes slow when i start the computer, and when i have firefox running, and while using photoshop, and whne i minimize a window and right click the desktop, it takes like 5 seconds, the first time to load the menu..

i have intel pentium 4 1.6ghz processor, i want to upgrade it to a 3 or 3.4ghz but i dont kno if it would work, would it?
