I'm not talking about simply changing the label in User Accounts in Control Panel, I mean chaning it fully, so that event the directory C:\Documents and Settings\NewUserName reflects the change.
Your only option is to create a new user, log into that user, and the new directory is created.
You can copy the stuff from the old user into the new user's directory, but you'll still have to configure stuff that was in the registry for the new user.
I've done this on W2K to solve a strange Windows Explorer issue for a single user, I just abandoned that user and made another one.
