Any1 know a good FREE Rem. Assistance Utility..?

    Are there any good free remote access utiitys available?
    like Windows Remote Assistance>?
    any will do but im luking for sumit that will log me back on after restarting PC without user intervention at the remote PC

    UltraVNC is recommended by lots of people. I haven't tried it and have no idea if it will handle a Restart.

    With almost any remote control utility, you'll have to login after restarting. You can configure the machine to automatically login to the desktop using

    Start, Run, control userpasswords2

    This will allow you to reconnect using something like UltraVNC once the login is complete.

    thanks will... im still strugglin to sus out UltraVNC...hehe
    i quite fancy PC HelpWare by same company??? wats the diff?

    also

    how do i configure XP/Vista to log me back in (as a remote user?)
    I mean log into the PC THEN re-connect the remote assistance?

    I haven't used PC HelpWare, but I keep looking at it. It's probably worth a try. :)

    You will have to reconnect after the machine reboots, I don't know of a way around that.
