I have a toshiba laptop. I tried calling toshiba but the stupid guy wouldnt tell me what all the stuff was. But its eating up my ram and causing my machine to be super slow, and I just formatted tonight. I need to know how to post all the stuff in my task mgr in here first and find out what i can eliminatie for good from my startup.

Go Start>Run and type in msconfig then hit Enter. On the form that comes up, click the Startup tab and untick anything in that list you either don't want or don't need to start when the computer boots. You aren't deleting anything - just preventing it from slowing down your boot process. Personally, I only have McAfee and a couple of other things running. When you click OK you'll force a restart and when it boots back up the system will put up another form. Tick the "don't show me this message again" box and Hit OK.

You can, if you wish do the same thing in the Services tab - most of those are unnecessary as well.

The Hijack This log will probably help Rude when day breaks over Western Canada but for the future, you woiuld first maximise your Task Manager window and take a screen shot by pressing the Alt and Print Screen keys together and then you can clipboard it using Control V into an e-mail, this site or any other text document.

Did you disable anything in Startup options yet?

1)Find what you want to take a screenshot of,
2)Hit Alt and PrtScrn on your keyboard at the same time.
    3)Open Paint
4)On the Edit menu click Paste
5)On the file menu click "Save as"-save to a location of your choice
    eg.My Pictures
6)On the bottom of the "Save AS" box, beside "File name:"you can name the shot
7)Beside "Save as type:" click the down arrow and select GIF
    8)Click "Save"

    Paste screenshot here
