Does anyone know the key command to take a screen capture in OSX?
Any other ways besides a key command. Your help is greatly appreciated.

    try this

Apple or Command + Shift + 3 for whole screen capture into a PNG format
Apple or Command + Shift + 4 for a "crosshairs" to select a part of a screen into PNG format.

I knew it was something simple. I just couldn't remember it.
The screen shot with the cross hairs... Bonus!
    Thanks again

Or you can use the application called (I think... my Mac is currently booted into the Dark Side, so I can't double check right now) "Grab" (in the Utilities folder). It will create a screen image according to your wishes, even a timed one, so if you're wanting to capture something 20 seconds from now (in a game, for example) it will do it.

I think the default file type is TIFF, which can be rather unwieldy, so be sure you translate it into a JPG for web use, if that is your end goal.
