Operating System: Windows XP

Sometimes while in AOL and I decide to print something from say a Web Site I was in, AOL Freezes.

This happens after I hit the Print Icon and I’m in the Printer Menu.

At that time I receive the following error: “C:program Files\AOL 9.1 \WAOL.exe Function Address 0x0 caused a protection fault. (Exception code 0xc0000005) Some or all property page (s) may not be displayed.”

and again as I mentioned earlier, the system won’t let me do anything until I close out AOL. I can’t even cancel the print request.

I can print fine any other place, i.e. Word, or Excel.

I have had this problem off and on for sometime, and for awhile there I didn’t have this problem,. All of a sudden, it started again.

I have spoken to AOL several times and they tell me to clear the Temp, and their Spool Folders. I do that and after awhile the problem comes back.

I religiously run system maintenance programs like Quick Clean, and I don’t understand why I still have this problem when printing.

Do you have any ideas?

Do I have some parameter set too low, or do I have some setting set wrong?

Please help!

Thanks

You may need AOL 9.1 if you have Vista. Not sure, I think I read that.
I have Windows XP Home Edition and AOL 9.1 caused me a lot of trouble so
I went back to AOL 9.0 Optimized SE I've tried other Versions of AOL and they
all caused trouble except what I'm using.

Hi haycg

Thanks for the quick response!

Did you have the same problem as I did, i.e. "C:program Files\AOL 9.1 \WAOL.exe Function Address 0x0 caused a protection fault. (Exception code 0xc0000005) Some or all property page (s) may not be displayed.”?

I have Windows XP and I'm using AOL 9.1 as you thought.

How can I get a copy of AOL 9.0 Optimized SE?

Again thanks for your help!
