    Howdy

My boss has a computer that has a 4x APG slot . I have an 8x graphics card I was going to give him but I'm unsure if it will work not being a hardware guy...

    any thoughts

The 8X card "should" run at the 4X speed. They "usually" are backwards compatible.

i'm sure there is a way to get around that limit, there almost always is.
check tom's hardware guide. there's a pretty good informative section on the site about graphics cards.

p.s.- it's an AGP card (advanced graphics port) ;)

KerriAnn:There is NO WAY at this time to take a 4x AGP slot and make it an 8x capable slot.
