application windows won't stay open

    :confused: Hi, i need some help, i am trying to open application and the display window will not stay open, i think it might be a virus but i can't download anything as again the download window does not open....can someone help me?

    i am using windows xp HE but i do not know what bump means?

    lol, sorry that just means your thread is so far back, its likely going to be overlooked... so one writes 'bump' to indicate the post has waited a bit already and still awaiting a possible reply. ps, run these tools adaware[now updated today btw]/ spybot/ spyware blaster[free at links below]. Then we'll go further with tech solutions.

    Go to safe mode - See what you can do there. While there run an AV scan.

    I'd backup whatever you need, cuase you prolly have a virus and if your AV is not up to date it may not detect it and the ultimate cure may be a System rebuild.
