    Hey all.

I have an Asus P4S800 MX SE Motherboard with an Intel Celeron D.

    I want to upgrade to an Intel Core 2 Duo. (E4600 Socket 775 2.4GHz (800MHz) L2 2MB Cache)

I have looked everywhere on the net and cannot find whether it would be compatible with my current motherboard or whether I will need another one.

Thanks a lot for your help,

    Floonds. (y)

    Ok.

    Another quickie.

    In the list, it states ' P4-3 GHz (800 FSB, L2 cache:512KB, HT, D1/M0)'

On Ebuyer, there is an Intel Pentium 4 631 3GHz Socket 775 800MHz 2MB L2 Cache OEM Processor.

The specs are ever so slightly different, do you know if this would be compatible?

Sorry to be a nusence, I just need to get it right so I don't end up with incompatibility nightmares

    Thanks again.
