ANYONE out there who has built a PC designed specifically for Home Media usage EG: movies, photos, etc ( not gaming) using a ASUS Intel motherboard 775, CPU E8400, P35, XP PRO, as I'm unsure which board might be the best all rounder.

    thanks.

Have you chosen the computer case you are going to use yet?

For a home media PC, the one defining factor is available "space". (meaning how large of a computer case are you going to use?)

A smaller case may limit you a Micro ATX or smaller MB, low-profile video/audio card or integrated video/audio, low profile CPU heatsink/fan, etc. A smaller case will also mean a lower power PSU which may also limit your choice of other parts.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. The case is an Origen S16 which is designed to take a full size mother' board, I took a lot of time deciding/researching which case to buy and it was a long time coming....from the build quality and design I can confirm this case is beautifully engineered better in my opinion than any of the Zalmans and Silverstones and will be we placed in my lounge, but apart from this Im still looking for advice on the motherboard? thanks
