    Hi,

My graphics card in my Asus X541U is struggling with some of the games I play.

Am I able to get an external Graphics card that is compatible with this laptop? If so, can anyone recommend any?

    Many thanks
    Kate

Which Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processor does it have?

How much RAM does it have?
It appears to come with 4 - 8 GB of DDR4-2400 RAM, but it supports up to 16 GB.

It appears to have a NVIDIA GeForce 920MX graphics device.
Is that correct, or does it have a different one?

    Hi flavallee,

It is an Intel I3 core with 4gb of RAM.

I believe it is the NVIDIA GeForce 920MX graphics device.

There are games which are saying that they require 4gb of dedicated video ram (if that is the correct terminology) but that my laptop has only 2gb.

    Many thanks
    Kate

Your ASUS laptop has an Intel Core i3 processor?
Is it the Intel Core i3-6100U or the Intel Core i3-7100U or a different one?

It has only 4 GB of RAM?
You should probably add another 4 GB and run it with 8 GB.
Even if you don't use it for gaming, it may need extra RAM when performing certain functions.

It does have the NVIDIA GeForce 920MX graphics device?
If it does, it has 2 GB of VRAM.
There's no magical way to increase it to 4 GB.
