    Hello All,

My video card is giving me a error on the TV startup "TV played failed to initailize Video" It was working before untill i formatted my drive for a freshs start and when i installed the drivers and software on the same cd i had intalled before it gave me the error, i went the faq and found nothing of use. I formatted it again and problem still exists, im thinking its a driver problem or software. I have windows 2000 sp4, AIW 9600XT. This problem is common but i am stumped.

    Thanks,
    Danny

Here is my ATI problem report:

I don't believe all the drivers are installed correctly. Under Sound, video and game controllers in your device manager, there is no audio capture or video capture device listed like there should be..

You should have two capture devices listed. A audio capture, and a video capture. Then you should have codecs for the card listed, and a crossbar.

Also, the newer ATI multimedia center software requires certain updates to be in the operating system before installing the software. Make sure you have ran windows update and installed all updates for your OS.

Your GART driver is not in the list the GART driver must be installed befor the video card drivers on all non Intel chipsets. check out this link http://www2.ati.com/drivers/igp-gart-1009-1.html for more details. I don't have an ATI but I built a system for a friend that featured 9800 AWP remembered that warning in the manual.
