Hi, was wondering if any one has a solution to a problem i have got with attatchments.
When I type a page and save it to rtf or doc then send it to someone they cant open it ,
when I re open it myself it comes up as default wps any one please know why

It could be that your recipients do not have the facility to view rtf or doc files or they have a different Word version to you? Have you tried saving as .txt? They should be able to see that.

Hi Dud, thanks for the infprmation but it doesnt solve the reason why when i re-open a page i have saved as rtf that it opens in wps as default any ideas

You can set the default program to open a certain file extension by clicking on it once(highlighting) then Shift +right click on it.......choose open with--- Choose a program like Wordpad, etc. Check the box always open with this type of file. Click OK. Next time you open an .rtf file it should open in wordpad

Because word perfect is your default handler for all doc type files, including rtf

There should be no reason why your email recipients cannot open rtf files.

rtf are designed to be independant of any particular word proccessor and as such can be opened in any one whether word word perfect lotus or any of the other ones around
