Search for a comprehensive video editor that will cut your VCD's down to good sizes; I haven't noticed any; mine work on avi's and regular mpegs and such; you may have to convert from vcd to avi/mpg, edit with the editing prog, then reconvert to vcd and then burn the resultant smaller files.

If you have the files as .mpg, you can use "ULead Video Studio" to break them into as many files/chapters as you want.

If they are AVI's you can cut them with VirtualDub.

I have found the easiest and best software for cutting video files is "easy video splitter". Straightforward bit of kit can cut video files up to 2GB into as many peices as you like. You can join together with sister software "easy video joiner".
