    Hello,

I have recently switched to Windows 2000 and for some reason it will not copy songs from any CD onto my Harddrive. all it does is copy a shortcut of the music file to the harddrive. Also even when i highlight a song on the CD it is only about 88KB big.... that can't be a song!?

Also, just a point of information....

I just bought a CD from Amazon and it is UNPLAYABLE in a computer! I had never heard of that before (if that is common knowledge pleace excuse me :) ) is there any way around the problem?

    Thanks.

When you want to copy the music from the CD to your harddrive you should use a so called grabber, which grabs the music from the CD and converts it to an MP3 file or WAVe file.

Windows MediaPlayer is one of those programs who can grab the audio from CD. Another one is AudioGrabber.

Start MediaPlayer, click the CD Audio tab, select the songs you want to copy, and then you click the copy music button.
