Audio Manager mic/audio problem

Hello,

I am having some weird issues when trying to use my microphone on my laptop (Rog G551, Win10). Basically, when I plug in a pair of headphones and I check "Headphones' in the Realtek HD manager I can't use the microphone at all. On the other hand, if I check "Headset", the mic works, but I can only hear from the left cup.

Any input is appreciated. Cheers!

audio settings in win10 will need checking to see if all is set correctly. this page has a guide and steps to follow to ensure all is ready and correct.

if not, the following links will direct you to driver reinstall and the manufacturers site for potential driver updates. the full id of the machine is required when searching the Asus site:

try this, Open Start, enter Device Manager, and select it from the list of results. Under Sound, video and game controllers, select your sound card, open it, select the Driver tab, and select Update Driver. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, look for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions

see if there are any latest updates for win10 on the Asus site.
