I have a n HDTV hooked up in one of my video cards with an HDMI cable. What I want is to be able to play shows on the TV from the computer and have the sound come out of the TV but anything else I want the sound to come out of my computer speakers. Is there something I can set up to where if I drag a browser window over to the TV it will play HDMI sound and then on my number one desktop it will be computer speakers? Or can I do something like set IE up to play sound through HDMI and firefox to play through the computer speakers?

    Thanks,

    Speedy

You have to manually change the audio setup. In this case, you would select the HDMI audio chipset as the default audio device. That will route all audio out the HDMI port. Other options vary according to the OS being used.
