I am trying to change the settings on my boss's Outlook 2007 program so that every time he exits Outlook, his emails automatically delete. Is there a way to do this besides autoarchiving?

    Welcome to TSG,

I've moved your thread to the Business Applications section.

Sounds like a really bad idea and very risky, what if he doesn't read an email and it gets deleted? What if he closes it accidentally or someone else closes it, or if something reboots the computers and closes Outlook on him? Can I ask why?

But if he deletes them into his Deleted items folder you can have Outlook automatically empty that folder on exit: http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/outlook-help/empty-the-deleted-items-folder-HP010080727.aspx

You can set it so that the DELETED folder is emptied on exit, but not any others that I know of.
As said it does sound a bit risky to say the least.

    Thank you Triple6.
He didn't say why, he just likes things done a certain way. Apparently he had set his outlook like this before so that the items that he read would be deleted upon closing the program, not just the items in the deleted folder. Know any way to do this?

I meant to look to see if there was a setting in Outlook to move read mails to another folder. Without spending a lot of time reading the advanced settings, I suspect there will be.
