I have an IBM 600E Thinkpad Laptop with a Thinkpad Modem running Windows 98SE. When I double click my dialup connection it automatically connects to the Internet without giving me a chance to change local dial number in case I am travelling. I have tried the following:
Checked the "Prompt for information before dialing" already enabled
Uninstalled Dialup Networking and Reinstalled
Deleted current connection and created new connection
Scanned for viruses, spyware & adware
Reinstalled drivers for modem checked for driver updates
I know I can change the dialup number in the properties of my connection but I don't want to have to do that every time I'm on the road and need to dial a different local number.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
