auto shutdown

    i would like to know how can i get something that will shutdown my computer if it is not active for a long period of time. I need to know this because wenever i turn my comp of it usually says an error message for sum reason and then it keeps on until i press ok and then of course i do not sdsee this message so my comp gets left on all night!!!!:(

    i dont understand what u are trying to do

    what is the error message u get?

    there are programs that u can download (from download.com, for example) that will shut off your pc after a set time, but if there is an error, they may not work

    Try in the contro panel under power options and set hibernate.
