I would like for photoshop to open a series of images, convert them to gray scale, convert them to duo-tone, and then save and close them.

Is this possible to do, so I don't have to change them all manually?

thanks,

It is easy to make an action to convert to grayscale and then to duo-tone. And apply the duo-tone colors you choose. Then you use the batch process to open the images, apply the action and hopefully save to a different folder or with different filenames so you don’t overwrite the originals.

Thanks, I got it working.

The files i was opening were gifs, and it wanted to save them as PSDs for some reason.

I got it to do the whole thing for me by creating a save for web action, and then closing without saving.

the only thing that it isn't doing is putting the files back into the correct subfolders.

the source folder has a subfolder called "buttons" and "status" and it pulls these images out, and dumps them all into the same destination. any ideas?

thanks,

nick
