I have a Windows XP-based PC. AVG has detected the "Dropper.Inor" virus, but is unable to heal it. When I attempted to heal it, I received the following AVG Control Center message:

Action failed.

Error while handling file C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\Microsoft\Windows.hta

Should I try AVG's "Move to Vault" option -- or is there another course I should take?

Below is a Hijack This log:

Jag11, thanks for the head's up; I had a feeling that might be the case...
Which other infections do you see in the log? Thanks again.

that Microsoft Windows.hta can be Horseserver, so do this first...
  • First, download HSFix from here
  • After it is downloaded, create a new folder on your desktop called "HSFix" and extract all the files into the newly created folder.
  • Boot into safe mode: Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.
  • Locate the HSFix folder on your desktop, open it, and double-click hsfix.bat
  • A log will be produced which you can close out of.
  • Restart your computer and do an online scan here and SAVE the log.
  • Restart your computer again and post a new HijackThis log, Panda Log, as well as the HSFix log which is located at C:/hslog.txt
