AVI file type to play on a dvd player

    How do I get videos on my computer, in the AVI file type to play on a dvd player.

    That all depends on:
    1) your DVD player
    2) the coding inside the avi file

    All DVD players that I know of need the avi file encoded in Divx.
    Your player will be labled with DivX HD Certified or DivX or DivX Ultra Certified.
