.avi to any that can be played in normal DVD

    Is there any way that .avi or .mpg files can be converted and saved onto CD R-W in a format that can then be played on normal DVD hardware i.e. non PC based DVD units.

    if your dvd player will play VCD's then your set. Just use nero to burn the mpeg as a VCD.

    If you have a .avi you need to convert it to mpeg first VCDhelp has some good guides... http://www.vcdhelp.com/convert.htm

    I see that there's a lot of 'work' involved in carrying out this type of conversion. I'll give it a try though.
