I uninstalled Trend Micro this morning and installed the free Avira Antivirus. It detected "psexec.cfexe" which has something to do with the "APPL/PsExec.E application". I have included a copy of the scan results as well as a HJT log.

Zone Alarm had a dialogue box come up asking for permission for "avscan.exe" to access the internet. When I clicked more information, it says NOT to allow it as it is a malicious program. Looking at the Zone Alarm logs, it seems that it is related to Avira as it also has "Program Files\Avira\Avir Desktop\avscan.exe". Should I be concerned about this as well?

Just bumping to see if I should still be concerned about the virus Avira detected. It is quarantined. If nothing to be worried about I would like to mark this thread as solved.

    Thanks.

The filre avira detected is part of combofix & you must have run that at some time

However it found it in the recycle bin where it had been deleted so was & is completely harmless

Zone alarm is prone to false alarms and that one looks like a false alarm with the Avira core file
