Office XP is just its name. It really has nothing to do with XP and works fine on Vista or 7.

Vista is really a very good OS. It may take some tweaking and getting used to, but we can help with that. It can be made as much like XP as you like.

For all the media attention it has received as being a "bad OS", I like it. Sure, it's not perfect, but what OS is?

PortriatePainter,

It's up to you whether you want to install Vista or not. If you would like to, like Elvandil said, we can help with that if needed.

Yes, I think it is an excellent OS. But there were some things I didn't like, so I just changed them. But it has a very good kernel and Windows 7 uses the same one. I really have a hard time seeing the small differences, but 7 is definitely a bit less top-heavy.

Like a lot of things on the internet, a bad reputation spreads even if not supported by the facts. Many people disliked Vista without even trying it. I estimate that maybe 90% of the information on the internet is either wrong or incomplete.

Thank you all...I am one that "belived" the negative hipe about Vista...that's why when I hit the first hurdle with Vista I changed to XP...

I started out on Macs when they first hit the market and I have been on a lot of sites that say they are lilke this one...believe me you all...I have never been answered so quickly...with such accurate information...and here's the best part...all from people who are nice and not with a "holy-ier than thou" attitude...

Thank You...Jim
