Norton came up and told me that a file called temp$01.exe was infected with Backdoor.Subseven virus. I ran a full system scan and it found the file, but could not repair it. I submitted it to quarantine, but still feel uneasy since I know that this virus can allow people to control your computer through the internet somehow. How can I make sure I am rid of the virus?

I'm running WinXP if that helps.

If Norton intercepted it, that should put your mind at rest.
You can also delete the file in the Quarantaine folder.

If you want a second opinion, download a trial version of The Cleaner , a powerful anti-trojan, update with MooLive after D/L, and scan your drives.

Good luck,
