I have a new wide screen laptop....running windows 7. When i try to make a downloaded picture my background it will streach the picture out of proportion. Can anyone tell me how i can get a pic to load as my background without this happening? Any help will be appreciated.....thanks.... Herbie
Right clik on your desktop, select personalize at the bottom left of the window you will see "Desktop Background" Click on those words you will see "Picture Position" click the down arrow and select Fill instead of Stretch.
I have tried every selection and none work....the pic that i used as a background stayes the same...streched from side to side....thanks anyway......herbie
I might have found something.......I will try it when I get home.....seems that the HP laptops have a program called "Wallpaper Picture Position Enabler" , I am going to download the software and try it this evening......I will get back here and let you know how it turns out.....Herbie
The background enabler at HP download site worked perfectly....Seems that HP laptops running windows 7 have this problem...hope this helps someone.....H
It's the resolution and aspect ratio of the screen not matching said background picture appropriately, try and get a native resolution picture for your desktop.
