When I used Outlook for Contacts and e-mail (now using Thunderbird for mail - does anyone have a good suggestion for an alternative to Outlook for contact information?) I backed it up every week - exported to a .pst file. When I got a new computer I just imported the files into the new Outlook software.

I know I can back up my Thunderbird files (back up the Profile), but how would I import those files into a new program if/when I get a new computer?
