My new router has the ability to have an FTP on it via a connected hard drive. I have this all set up now and it is accessible. My only problem is that having it is rather impractical if I can't put things on it without having to go to my router, unplug it, and plug it into a computer. The ultimate goal of having this is to back up a work desktop, and pictures from every computer. Is there any way I can set that up?

Is the FTP available from any computer on the network via IP address. Are you trying to access it via a wireless connection?

It can be connected to via HTTP from anywhere in the world if that's what you mean.
