Dear Friends, hope all is well.

    See Attachments:
I noticed that there hasn't been a (Last backup) Backup. I'm not sure why?
When I did try to do a backup today it said there wasn't enough space it seems.
What is the best way to do this?
When I back up my Desktop i use an external HD. But I think there is some confusion about what is a Backup and the types of backups.
I forgot to mention this was noticed after doing a Disc cleanup in order to make more room and remove unwanted or necessary file, etc...
Any help or suggestions much appreciated. I'm obviously confused.

    Thank You,
    Raphael

Looks you have choose the wrong location to backup to. I think D: is the Recovery Partition on your hard drive and it is indeed full. What drive letter is your external drive?

Thank You! Sorry it's taken so long to respond. I'll check back in a few hours..
I've never used an external HD or Thumbdrive with this machine. Whether I plugin an External HD or a Thumbdrive it comes up with the letter (G)
What can be done with Drive (D)? I plugged in both an external HD or Thumbdrive to show where the drive is..
    Please Advise.
    Best, Raphael

You can just use your external hard drive because it has more storage. Your USB has not enough space for backups.

What about the Recovery HD (D) showing in Red and nearly full? Never seen a computer displaying that..Also, I got a window warning me of Low space on that drive (D).
    https://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c03736755
In the System Protection window..the Turn off system protection is ticked. So in Tools> the Folder options window Recovery D is highlighted>View tab>Show hidden files, folders and drives<and remove the selection from Hide protected operating system files. Ticked Yes>Recovery drive..
See attachment of what I see in there. Is this proper? and what items can be Safely deleted?
    Please Advise!
    Thank YOU!

You will need to delete the Windows Backup from it.

Well, i did finally get it to back up to the external HD..once it came up with an incorrect syntax. Safely removed the external HD and started the backup again. It seemed like it struggled finding Drive (G)?!?
I assume the Red line will remain for Recovery Drive (D)? Any thoughts?
Thanks so much for the help!
    Raphael
    PS: Suggestions for Backup setting?

    Dear Friends,
I'm still getting a Low Disc Space box in the lower right corner. As you can see the Back up is done and was successful.
When the External HD is connected it shows the Backup/User7-PC> G:\USER7-PC\Backup Set 2017-05-11 140619.
    (see attachments)
If something is not in its designated place then I need to figure out how to do that?

Yes, you still need to delete the old backup . Running a backup to another location doesn't remove it from the first location.

I designated the back up to Drive G. I had others choices like (D) was listed. Until I chose drive (G) it would stop and say I didn't have enough space.
I have no idea why it ended up under Recovery? it seems to me some how things ended up in the wrong place.
    What about Compressing Recovery?

Why is deleting the backup not an option?
