Hello,

I only have the HijackThis and the sysinfo logs to give you here since all attempts (many) to run DDS and GMER failed. I'm hoping to give you enough description of the problems/symptoms so you can help me. There really are numerous issues, so here's a list:

- Scheduled nightly backup (Genie Backup Manager Pro 8) stops at 6% with: Backup Interrupted!
\\?\GLOBALROOT\device\hardisk\VolumeShadowCopy6\Documents and settings\ApplicationData\Identities.........(numbers).....\Microsoft\OutlookExpress\SentItems.dbx

- Scheduled weekly Acronis True Image clone of system/programs drives fails as well

- Attempts to transfer larger files to external disk go extremely slowly almost always fail partway through. SCARY...can't use backup program or copy folders to external drives!

- Windows Task Manager cannot close many programs

- Internet Explorer shuts down frequently

- Internet Explorer graphics and type overlap and hard to read

- Graphics programs like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom don't function with desktop visible through panels of program

- With Internet Explorer and other programs including Word, Quicken, etc. the windows blink (all functionality stops, but very briefly) and typing is interrupted. Borders of windows grey out and back to blue quickly when this happens. The only solution when this gets bad and frequent is to restart computer.

- Parts of windows on error messages and all kinds of windows are often blank and the tops of windows where the minimize and close buttons are located often disappear.

- Everything moves very, very slowly

- Couldn't download HijackThis from TrendMicro - had to download on other computer and use thumbdrive to copy to desktop

- DDS scan starts but stops about when 2/3 done, logs don't open and DDS window will not close. Task Manager couldn't end task, then couldn't use Windows to Restart or Turn Off computer...had to manually turn off power.

- Was able to download GMER, but running it (careful not to touch anything with no other windows open) completely froze computer. Thus, no log for here for you.

- Also, frequently get this Error Message: nmtxth.exe - Bad Image

I hope the above descriptions help! Below are the logs I could produce for you:
