I posted this in the windows section as well since I wasn't sure which section to post this.
I downloaded the shareware version of partition magic 8 and it says my NTFS maxtor hard drive is not NTFS file system but BAD file system. I'm not sure what BAD is, but it means I can't partition my hard drive so I can install Linux. I don't want to format my hard drive but I guess I could be convinced if that's the only choice.
