    WinXP Pro sp2 auto updates
    WINVNC4 version 4.2.7
    RealVNC version Personal 4.2.7
    CounterSpy
    NOD32
    Kerio Firewall

    I caught bad guys looking for passwords as they were using my RealVNC program. (I have now changed passwords on all bank accounts etc., however, a week before I caught them they grabbed $4000 from my PayPal account by making purchases on the German ebay. PayPal say's TOUGH!)

    At the time, I was running RealVNC version 4.1.2 (which should have had the security hole fixed that was found last May) After the breakin I upgraded to version 4.2.7 but they are still getting connected! I have RealVNC set to require me to approve their access, (I DON'T) so they go away in a few seconds. The password for RealVNC is new, so how are they getting as far as the approval point? I can't use RealVNC from a remote location with it set for approval, so it's now useless to me.

    Shields-Up scan says my computer is invisible.

    CounterSpy, NOD32, Spybot S&D all show clean.

    Here is my HJT log;
    When I upgraded RealVNC I installed it in C:\Program Piles\RealVNC-2\VNC4

    I'll check that link out. Thanks. I wasn't running the free VNC. I think that the free version is called lite or something. I paid for the Personal Edition which does encrypt.

    I think the problem is not so much in my session being visible, but that bad guys can establish a session.
