bad sectors

    Hi!: can bad sectors on the hard drive be repaired?

    did the scandisk with auto fix with no luck.

    once you start getting bad sectors it is best to start planning a replacement

    Is there any way to recover the information from a bad sector? The
    information was on a bad sectors after installing AOL 9.0, I lost the EXE. Roxio easy Cd creator 5 will not open and let as other files. Thanks to
    the NEW AOL 9.0......

    While there is software that will help recover data in lost sectors, as previously mentioned by others, it is best to get another hard drive and just recover what you can. They don't get any better.
