    Hello,

There are two users (Paul and Nigel) on my laptop (IBM R40 w/ 1 GB RAM), and ever since Paul shut down without logging me (Nigel) out, I have been experiencing major problems. I was able to solve a lot of these problems when I discovered in the Task Manager that spoolsv.exe (system file) was using up as much CPU as it could (totally slowing down the computer), and then ran the Windows Resource Kit's spooler function to clean it up.

However, strange problems (eg, computer freezes, and I recently got the BAD_POOL_HEADER blue screen error) persist, and I am at a loss as to what to do.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks,

    Nigel
