Please help...

Also, is there (or is anyone developing) a tool specifically for this bagle worm? I didn't see anything in my searches.

Thanks!

Go to Control Panel – Add/Remove programs and remove the following, if there:

WinTools or any reference to WinTools
Toolbar

Go here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner.html to download and install CCleaner. Do not run it yet. Have it ready to run in safe mode later.

Thank you,

I followed all the steps, but had a problem with Ewido: it appeared to do the scan, and the bar reached 100%, but the status across the bottom was still going, and I didn't see a button to save a report yet... I continued reading my book, and when I looked up a minute or so later, the program had disappeared from the screen. So I don't have a log from that, all I can tell you is that on the first infection found, it was a variant of the Bagle.AH thing, I checked the box to perform the action on all infections found, before I clicked on "Clean".

Here is my latest HiJackThis log:

Rescan with Hijack This and have it fix this entry:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {8DA5457F-A8AA-4CCF-A842-70E6FD274094} - C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\WinTools\WToolsT.dll (file missing)

Locate and delete this folder:

C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON FILESWinTools

Run Panda’s ActiveScan online virus scan from here: http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/

When the scan is finished, have it delete anything that it cannot clean. Make a note of the file location of anything that cannot be deleted so you can delete it yourself. Save the results from the scan.

Post a new HiJackThis log along with the results from ActiveScan
