For your understanding of US politics and economics, you'd probably learn more reading of the criminal indictments of those serving and supporting Trump. ;)
And the 'best' is said yet to come :D

Funny thing about Boulton. I remember when he was extremely anti Communist. In a Russian kind of way :D
And now they seem best buds LOL!

As far as Todd Royal goes, never heard of him before. Did a search and, well, didn't find much.
Only one article at American Thinker.
Obviously doesn't like Obama.
Found this link, but can't confirm it's the same Todd Royal
https://votesmart.org/candidate/151849/todd-royal
Nothing at Wikipedia.

Don't know or know of him.
He has a right to express an opinion just like anyone else.
But accept him as an authority? I'll pass.
Some here , well only a select few ( :D ) use Alex Jones as an authority.
Him I know of LOL!
He hates Obama also.

Me, I never liked Obama. Never voted for him nor H Clinton.
Don't like Sanders, either.

I just never liked misogynists, crooked realestate developers, racists and oportunists. Add all those traits and it's the perfect crooked politician. So I've never liked or respected Trump.

It seems to me, from the distance over the pond,
IMO, you haven't a clue :)

First, there is NO Deep State. Obama era ended better than Bush II and would have been better if the conservatives had helped. As for an exaggerated anti-Trump perspective, it isn't exaggerated it's based in fact and truth. And I fully expect before his term has concluded he will make Bush economy look absolutely astoundingly good.

Hope all well across the pond and with you and yours. I'm thinkin' youse guys have a bit of a problem, too, economically on horizon, contributed by our ill running Blind Blond POTUS and Brexit.

This isn't a thread about 'balance'. It's about whinning that the corruption of the Trump administration is being discussed and then sour graping it by calling it bigotry.

yes, indeed there is. This is because Trump is a racist, misogynistic, homophobic and quite egomaniacal human who we have for whatever reason elected and given the keys to the castle to. That says a LOT about the state of our society; mainly that it sucks.

What is your question and/or point?

IMO, hardly exaggerated.
I've overlooked posting a lot of negatives about Trump and his associates merely because it would be forum flooding.
Almost any claimed positive aspect or accomplishment can be effectively challenged.
IMO, the Contraversial Topics forum isn't very active

All an inquireing mind has to do is daily open a news feed reader to observe the 'swampage' and realize the direction of governing and legislation doesn't favor a democratic republic. And this isn't limited to only the current Republican Party.

And as valis commented, a large segment of society supports radicalism.
It's not just the new Trumptonian radicalism, left wing radicalism is still active, just not grabbing the 'spotlight' at the moment.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
That was an easy bet LOL!

But let's look at some of that supposed anti-Trump perspective and consider for a moment, an interesting comparison between a Trump supportive news outlets and terrorism.

As shown in 'that other thread' you started, Paq, that terrorist movement Boogaloo has been shown to be involved in propagandistic activity with Covid misinformation, in order to incite resistance to federal, state and local medical authority during the Covid pandemic. We are now seeing some of that influence as an increase of infection.

I presented a Forbes link:
https://www.forbes.com/sites/wayner...-violence-and-disinformation-during-protests/

'Medical conspiracies'.

Low and behold, now here's Tucker Carlson of Fox News doing pretty much the same thing:

Tucker Carlson: 'Flagrant double standard' of lockdowns, protests was a 'ritual humiliation' of Americans
https://www.foxnews.com/media/tucker-carlson-double-standard-lockdowns-protests-humiliation

Carlson argued that the hypocrisy on display amounted to a "ritual humiliation" of Americans who accepted the lockdowns in good faith.

"Forcing people to accept mistreatment is a time-tested way to subdue them," he said. "'Of course we are not treating you fairly,' they are telling us. 'You don't deserve fairness. You deserve what you get.' That's the message. And after a while, the population accepts this. Some believe it. They blame themselves. That's the goal. But we should never accept it."
Imagine that. An extremist right wing terrorist movement and Tucker..... in apparent agreement.
One does so as 'terrorist', the other as a journalist.

Should anyone be criticized for recognizing that obvious similarity?

Perspective, Paq. Perspective.

Perspectives. Balance?
Why is the focus on the anti-Trump?

On to bigotry.

Tucker Carlson and Fox News again.
IMO, there is a good argument that Carlson is a racist.
At minimum, an apologist for white supremacy.

From this:

to this:

..........on these boards there is an exaggerated anti-Trump perspective , which amounts to a mix of a wish for societal self-immolation: and economic collapse.
Fox News is more popular than all other mainstream cable media.
They brag about it.

Fox News Channel ratings for first quarter of 2020 are the highest in network history
https://www.foxnews.com/media/fox-news-ratings-2020-best-history

The most popular news network in the US pushes racism with an audience that appears to approve.

And you argue there is an exaggerated and destructive anti-Trump perspective 'on these boards'.

Interesting perspective, here, perhaps?

So I gave 'Todd Royal' another shot at a search, especially after seeing the numerous posts he's made at AmThinker since you presented him.

Wow.
This stood out.
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2019/04/questioning_global_warming.html

According to the Climate.gov website, the current global average temperature is roughly 'shy of 60 degrees Fahrenheit. About 55 million years ago – just after the age of the Dinosaurs – the era known as the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum (PETM) saw average global temps as high as 73 degrees Fahrenheit.
Todd's response:
As humans showed up only about 100,000 years ago, how do you account for the PETM era? Supposedly, 97% of scientists agree man is the cause of catastrophic GWCC, when in fact that statement is false.
There is absolutely no scientific reasoning to that conclusion.
It doesn't explain why average global temps were cooler shortly before the industrial revolution than 55 million years ago.......and why the average temps today are greater than shortly after the industrial revolution.

Wow.
That's your example of professionalism?
If he can be that blind to data and reality, what makes you think his reasoning, his critical thinking....is sufficient to comment on politics?

The article you referred to is so full of holes, especially since events and newly uncovered considerations, you should be embarrassed having presented it.

Fracking saves the world? :D

California has chosen 100% renewable energy by 2045 when it's proven that renewable energy doesn't work on a scalable, affordable basis now or in the coming decades without immense fossil fuel backup and billions in taxpayer subsidies.
The fool wrote that and here we are 2 years later with renewables replacing coal because they are cheaper to use and more efficient.

They will return America back to the anemic growth it endured under Obama, and our enemies will only grow more emboldened.
And here we are today, deep in a pandemic that Trump denied till mitigation was all but impossible, right wing terrorist groups threaten anarchy with a call to civil war, our economy almost ruined with economists warning of more economic doom and a populace convinced by Trump leadership that Covid-19 is no big deal to the point carelessness is again driving an increase of infection and crowding of hospitals.

The enemy IS the right wing extremist. From Fox News to Boogaloo.

Crap like this:
We will have a shooting, civil war on our hands if Trump is impeached over an investigation that has never proven beyond a reasonable doubt that Trump colluded with Russia.
Mueller did not and could not investigate Trump unless authorized by the House of Representatives. An investigation for impeachment. That's law.
Mueller was limited to investigating Trump's election committee because there was no impeachment process in effect at that time.

Issues have come to light revealing the extent of Obama's troubled presidency and former top officials reckless disregard for unlawfully spying on Trump and thousands of Americans that is destroying America.
This claim has no foundation. It's been shown to merely be made up BS, largely by Trump.

Moreover, Obama's glee at making a nuclear deal with Iran has unleashed Hell on the Middle East by creating a hegemonic Iran.
Didn't happen.

Former senior-level Obama officials Susan Rice, James Clapper, John Brennan, Sally Yates, and Samantha Power all admitted to reviewing or "unmasking" political figures.
That is a reference to Flynn.
It turns out Flynn wasn't masked to start with.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/ju...s-never-masked-fbi-report-phone-call-n1212176

You picked a real 'winner' there, Paq..... lol!

Oh my goodness!

I just googled American Thinker and wound up at Wikipedia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Thinker

The magazine has been described as a conservative blog.[5][6] Right Wing Watch points out that American Thinker has published an excessively complimentary piece on a white nationalist, claimed women ruined public discourse by complaining about rape, and asserted that rainbow-colored Doritos are a "gateway snack to introduce children to the joys of homosexuality."[7] The site has published falsehoods about climate change.[8]

Well...............

Two older articles:
https://www.americanthinker.com/blo...what_gay_tastes_like_try_rainbow_doritos.html

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2014/12/do_women_want_to_be_responsible_individuals.html

A couple current examples:

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2020/06/blm_at_war_with_america.html
BLM at War with America
They are burning down homes which dare fly the U.S. flag. They are taking control of portions of cities, absurdly claiming it as their new country.
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2020/06/republicans_must_understand_we_are_at_war.html
Before we get into the idea of fighting back, let's look at the battle lines. On the one side, we have a loose collection of freedom-lovers, conservatives, traditionalists, free-marketers, and rational and logical people (let's call them Republicans, if for no other reason than that we need a shorthand label). On the other side, there is a tightly knitted confederacy of Marxists, communists, socialists, relativists, hive-minders, grievance-mongers, Stockholm syndrome sufferers, and criminal cabals (let's call this group Democrats)
There is more, so... much.... more!]
https://www.americanthinker.com/

Oddly, no mention of the Boogaloo threat.
Or maybe not ;)
