My school recently limited the badwidth available for file sharing with individuals outside of our lan. We have a T3 but it operates only a little faster than a 56k modem would. Is there any way around this specifically when using DC++. I tried switching the port that is used to 80 (which i believe is the port for http) from its default but that didn't help. Is there anything i can do

Sorry but trying to help you would be like helping someone hack.
The school has the system and you need to use what they provide to you or talk to them..
