I've bought older BASIC code books, but none of them work in BASIC 1.0 (the Windows version) Does anybody know if there is a place where I can get something like the TRS-80 version that will work with this code? Thanx.

There are several versions of BASIC, the
free one by Microsoft is called QuickBASIC.

Wouldn't it be safer to find some QBASIC
tutorials on the net? You may have some
problems using the older progs on modern
computers. I'm also thinkin' the newer
    version probably has more features.

    Cheers, Mac :)

Well the newest version (4.5) is only available illegally :) But the common version that even came with early Win95 pcs is version 1.0, much different than the original. The code is similar...but the only reason I would like an older version is because the books are for TRS-80s. Maybe I can pick one up at Goodwill :) Anyway I allready know some simple QBASIC 1.0 code so maybe I'll get it figured out eventually :)
