Recently carried out a format on my dell dimension PC to generally clean it all up and start over again (everything had been backed up). Its been a while since a carried out a format and since restarting i have had a few problems that i can't remember how to fix them but they are very basic

I am using some old dan speakers on my dell pc which have worked fine with the PC but since the reformat they just don't register, and it looks as though my sound card is installed and recognised

Second point is the beasic keyboard problem with Shft + 2 becoming the @ icon while Shft + ' becomes "

apart from that is there any other software i should downlaod and run to keep my PC healthy, hope this is in the right part and thanks in advance

You can go to the Dell Support site, navigate to your model and download any drivers you need
