Basic question but I'm a beginner!

I currently use a dialup 56k modem to connect to the net, but I want to use a wireless broadband package - they provide the router but what do I need to change on my pc to 'wifi enable' it? Is it just a card that goes in where the modem is?:)

Yep, you can pick up a PCI 802.11g card and use the wireless router (I assuming it is a wireless router they supply).

When they say 'Wireless broadband', it's EXACTLY the same as broadband. Package differs, eg, download limit and speed. But umlimited 'Wireless boradband' is EXACTLY the same as 'broadband'

Perhaps the only difference in the package, a free wireless rotuer or just a free USB modem. Don't let that confuse you. 'Broadband' can easily be turned itno 'Wireless Broadband' by buying your own rotuer and setting it up.

Thanks for the replies folks, much appreciated. Yup, it's a wireless router they supply... I see you're in the UK too Jack - I'm wanting to change from £15 a month Orange dialup to one of Sky's packages which start from free if you're a tv subscriber. I shall get hold of one of those cards then and see what I can do(y)

Max Up to 16Mb Unlimited* FREE £10

    That one looks interesting.. 16mb..

Yup I'm in the UK. I have BT Total Broadband Option 3 (8mb, 40gb download limit)

Steer well clear of Tiscali. I had major problems with them and their service, then found out that they were not only the most reported bad ISP of the month, but of the year!

Yep, just get a card however ethernet cable is mroe reliable. I reccomend getting a branded card that's the same make as the router they provide. The provide a netgear DG834GT so get a netgear card. On ebuyer.com they are very reasonable.
