Hello

I connect the laptop charger to the laptop and it starts charging but disconnects after 30-40 seconds and again connects after 30-40 seconds, this thing continuously doing on and on... till the battery full charge in this way.

What can I do? What's the problem?
Is there a problem in battery or in the charger?

And also when my PC is running on battery power, it turns off the PC without any warning after battery reaches below 60%-50%.

What's the problem?

Please help to solve the problem.

Thank You

Does the charger connect and disconnect when you charge it with the laptop off?
If not, the charger doesn't have enough power to charge and operate the computer at the same time. This happens if it is not the correct charger for that particular laptop or the charger might be failing.

Since the PC shuts off when the battery falls below 60%, the calibration is off. 60% is not the correct amount of battery power remaining.

How old is the battery?
Typically laptop batteries need replacing every 2 - 5 years depending on how many charging/discharging cycles.

Hello

I read your post, my laptop was one year old and I'll use laptop original charger to charge the laptop and my laptop battery is also one year old. I was thinking that the problem is in the battery because when laptop is running on battery power then laptop turns switched off after battery reaches below 60%-50%, so the problem is in the battery.

I was also test my laptop charger, it's working fine with the other HP laptop or any other laptop but this problem happens only with my laptop.

Please provide some suggestions to fix this problem.

And I also check the component test which is provided by the HP Diagnosis, battery check was failed and the result I attached with this reply.

Thanks for help...!!!

Thank You
Harsh

The test clearly states Replace the Battery
but it also says blown fuse.
Chargers have fuses but I don't think batteries do.

But charger is working fine with another HP same model laptop.
I think the charger is fine, there is an issue in the battery.

Does the laptop work with the charger connected and the battery removed ? (Some laptops have the main battery inside the case and others have a removable battery).

I guess that's why the HP Diagnosis said Replace the battery.

So replace the battery and see if that solves the problems.
