Hello nwinsley23, and welcome to TSG Forums... A couple of questions...

    How old is the battery?

Do you often use the machine on battery power?

You infer the machine runs OK plugged into the AC Adapter. Is that correct?

About the only items I know of to check are to ensure the contacts where the battery connects electrically are OK. Not bent or broken. Cleaning with isopropyl alcohol can't hurt. Just a bit on a stiff bristle brush.

Be sure to turn the computer off and disconnect the AC Adapter before doing any of those things.
