Before, the battery icon and the safely remove hardware icons worked and showed up in my taskbar on my laptop but now for some reason, they dont show up anymore. Can anyone help?

P.S. Ive tried the batch file to open the safely remove hardware page but it doesnt stay in the taskbar.

To make sure it isn't hidden,
Right click on the taskbar make sure Lock the Taskbar is not checked and then select Properties.
Check the box: Hide inactive icons and then click Customize button.
Click on Safely Remove Hardware in the list and click the drop down and select
    Always show.
Do the same for any others you want to always show. Then hit OK, Apply and OK.
    Recheck Lock the Taskbar.
Reboot your computer and see if that helps.

    Start > Run > Start -> Run -> %SystemRoot%\System32\RUNDLL32.EXE shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll

Or make a shortcuton the desktop with this Command
    %SystemRoot%\System32\RUNDLL32.EXE shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll

Do you have the option checked to show your battery?
    Start> Run> type: powercfg.cpl then hit OK.
Click on the Advanced tab and see if the box is checked:
Always show icon on the taskbar.

Also this sometimes works for the Safely Remove icon:
Open My Computer and right click on the removable drive and select
Properties> Hardware tab> Properties> Policies tab and tick the
    radio button: Optimize for performance.
You might also Log off and shutdown, then restart and Log on.
