    Hey..

    Um, quick 'thing'. Recently, after re-installing battlefield 2, I have encountered texture problems whilst playing the game. At random intervals, the textures in my game will 'shift' themselves around different models, i.e. the textures misplace themselves. it's funny...but also quite annoying. lol.

    um..since you may not understand what I am trying to explain..here;

    see the golden gun? lol.
    And..it gets worst as time goes by, more textures move, and eventually I have to exist because I can't differentiate between enemies and team mates. v_v

    I have the latest nvidia drivers for my 7800GT-SH, and I have never had this problem in a prior format (last time I formatted).

    Any suggestions?
    p.s. I've tried re-install twice.
    thanks in advance.

    Is your card overclocked right now? What temps are being reported by your card? Also, when's the last time you cleaned the dust out of your case?

    It's not over clocked, but it's SH edition meaning it came 'slightly' overclocked to begin with.. um, I regularly clean my case, like once a month, I did it like 5 days ago. as for the card, idle, it coasts at about 54 - 57 and when in use by BF2 it peaks at about 70-75 (in degrees celsius of course)

    no other game gets it that hot. all my other games peak at about 65-69 degrees C

    Hmmm. Is your DirectX up to date with the latest updates? It's also possible that the fan on your card is faulty. Can you monitor the speed of the fan on the card to see if its running all the time?
