    Hello,

I'm having trouble connecting my desktop computer to my Orange Livebox router using my "Belking Wireless G USB Network Adaptor" - It appears to be finding the router and displaying it, but is unable to connect to it.

So far it has either just said "waiting for network..." and then not done anything, or said "network is unavailable". The router is working fine because I can connect to is using my laptop.

I have tried deleting the connection, re-entering the passcode, taking off the encryption all together. I can also connect to the internet fine using the ethernet cable.

    This is driving me mad!!

    Please help!

    Patrick

Make sure you are not locking yourself out with MAC Address filtering on the router.

    Hi,
I don't have the MAC address filtering turned on, so i don't think it could be that?
    Any other ideas?
    Thanks!

Have you removed ALL the stored wireless profiles and then searched for networks and reentered the encryption key?

Let's see this from that machine.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:

Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

    IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter to copy the contents to the clipboard.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
