Can someone please tell me how to get my router to be "OPEN" for xbox live.

For years now I have been unable to rectify my NAT being closed.

    Thanks

All you need to do is set a static IP for the Xbox, and open the ports in the router to the Xbox's IP. The Xbox's static IP will need to be close to the router's IP so that only the last octet is different. And the subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS need to be the same as the router's settings. So although the guide says the computer needs to have a static IP, since you're trying to get the Xbox online, the ports only need to be open to the Xbox, not the PCs.

a button popped up and said that the public port number cannot be 88 because it will conflict with the wireless web service.

Do you have a remote management page? If so, check there to make sure there isn't a remote management service with that port number.

I looked on the internet, and it seems everyone with this router has thisproblem, but there HAS to be a way to fix it, this is retarded.

    Try a factory default reset.
Note: This will reset everything that you have set in the router, including network keys, time, filters etc. Take a paper clip, and push it in the reset button at the back of the router for about 10-15 seconds, then try to reconfigure settings in the router.
